A former federal prosecutor, Samer Korkor is intensely client-focused, and works closely with clients to understand their objectives.  With experience in and out of government, Samer leverages his experience and skill to provide zealous advocacy to achieve the best outcomes for his clients. Samer served as Scale LLP's Litigation Practice Group Leader from 2021 - 2024.  

Samer regularly handles high profile, novel, and complex matters with confidence, creativity, and a problem-solving perspective. He often assists clients who face multi-faceted legal issues.  Samer specializes in white collar matters, commercial litigation, investigations, and compliance.  He also has experience with extradition, and matters involving international evidence exchange. Samer has significant experience assisting clients to resolve contentious disputes thoroughly, efficiently, and intelligently.

Previously, Samer served in several key positions at the Department of Justice (DOJ), practiced at a major international law firm, and served as both a law professor and federal law clerk. While at the DOJ, Samer contributed to high-level decision-making in his roles as Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General and Counsel to the Deputy Assistant Attorney General / Attorney General’s Counselor on International Affairs. Samer also served as a DOJ trial attorney in both the Criminal Division’s Fraud Section (FCPA Unit) and the Office of International Affairs, where he was responsible for hundreds of matters throughout his tenure, including many highly sensitive and impactful cases garnering media attention.

Additionally, Samer served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney (SAUSA) in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, where he tried 25 bench trials. He draws on these experiences to provide thought leadership in major publications such as the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg Law News.

Additionally, Samer has authored several academic articles in law journals in his areas of expertise.

• Served as personal counsel to individuals facing multifaceted legal and reputational risk, including those responding to allegations of misconduct, often from an institution with whom they are affiliated.

• Assisted individuals and companies with subpoena intake and response, regulatory complaints and inquiries, and small claims complaints.
• Served as counsel to individuals under threat of extradition, and companies and individuals whose information is subject to international evidence exchange.
• Counseled companies seeking bespoke corporate compliance programs that integrate smoothly within a company’s operations and structure.
