Scale LLP, the Silicon Valley-based distributed law firm, announced today that it has launched the "Scale for Impact" initiative to further the firm's mission to transform legal practice for lawyers and clients, and expand its broader impact to communities. The initiative is born from the firm's values and commitment to "Do it. Do it right. Do right."
The founding idea behind Scale was that there was a gap between how lawyers work and how they want to work,” said David Reidy, who left fintech startup Payactiv, where he was chief legal officer, in 2021 to become managing partner of Scale LLP, a distributed law firm that began as a Silicon Valley boutique serving startups. “There are a lot of high-quality lawyers out there looking for a new way to practice.” According to Reidy, the dominant business model in Big Law alienates attorneys for three major reasons.
Scale LLP, the full-service, national law firm built by former Silicon-Valley tech GCs to serve high-growth companies, announced today that Katy Reamon, Channah Rose, Jenna Geuke, and Tyler Hayden, formerly of Sage Law Group, are joining the firm's growing Corporate & Securities practice. Katy Reamon will join Scale LLP as its new Corporate & Securities Co-Practice Group Leader.
