Eric Ferraro has over 25 years of experience in corporate and securities law. He advises entrepreneurs, venture-backed technology companies, and related businesses in all aspects of business formation, governance, corporate finance, commercial and IP transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. He also represents angel, venture capital, and private equity investors in connection with debt and equity finance.
Eric acts as outside general counsel to startups and late stage companies in a variety of industries, including AI, SaaS/software, hardware, fintech, financial services, and clean tech. He provides a concierge-level of support to his clients that balances legal protection and corporate best practices with pragmatic business, technical, investment, and strategic considerations.
Eric is regularly recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyer in Business and Corporate law. He is the co-founder of the popular PitchForce venture competition and a regular panelist and mentor at a wide range of technology events and accelerators.
Prior to joining Scale, Eric was the managing partner of Fathom Law where he led the firm’s Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practice and represented clients in connection with finance and M&A transactions valued at more than $2 billion in the aggregate.
Outside of work, Eric enjoys playing basketball and pickleball, cooking, and travel. He lives with his wife, Penelope, and their golden retriever, Jonah, and has two sons, Jake and Mickey.
